Yverdon-Eluxa saw the light of day in 2008, but the manufacture of period-style
clocks in Yverdon goes a long way further back. We would like to give a brief overview
of our history.

Between the two world wars, Mr Henri Girod founded a mechanical precision workshop in Yverdon and created an entire clock mechanism under the name Henri Girod Yverdon.

The company Precismatic SA continued manufacture of this movement, followed by Yverdon-Pendules SA.

On March 1, 1969, Tommaso Panzella was hired for the job of precision mechanic by Yverdon-Pendules.

In 1973 he was promoted to the position of head of manufacturing. The popularity of Neuchâtel clocks was at its height at that time, and new models were designed, perfected and introduced onto the market under the Yverdon trademark. Mr Panzella organized and coordinated the manufacture of almost 2000 clocks per year.

In 1984 he bought the company that had taken him on 15 years earlier, and transferred it to new premises in the centre of Yverdon. He continued to make period-style clocks under the Yverdon trademark.

In January 2009, Mr Manzella acquired the Eluxa trademark, became associated with his son Laurent and created the company Yverdon Eluxa Sàrl (Ltd.)
